It does not necessarily mean equality, as there are different characteristics of diversity and it has a concept of its own. In other words, diversity has its own set of values plus principles. Biodiversity is a term used to describe the enormous variety of life on Earth. It can be used more specifically to refer to all of the species in one region or ecosystem.
